Studio Policies & terms

Welcome

My goal is to provide every student with high-quality, personalised vocal coaching in a professional, supportive and respectful environment.

These Studio Policies & Terms are designed to create clear expectations and protect the time, commitment and professionalism of both teacher and student.

By booking any consultation, lesson or service, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms.

1. Initial Consultations, Audition Preparation & Public Speaking Consultations

Initial Voice Consultations, Audition Preparation Sessions and Initial Public Speaking Consultations require 100% payment in advance.

Your booking is confirmed only once payment has been received. Until payment is received, the selected time slot cannot be guaranteed.

Payments made for confirmed bookings are non-refundable.

If you need to reschedule, you must contact me at least 72 hours before your scheduled appointment. Rescheduling is subject to availability. If no suitable alternative appointment is available within your preferred timeframe, the original booking remains valid and cannot be refunded. Please make thoughtful booking decisions and ensure your availability before confirming your appointment.

2. Regular Weekly Tuition

Students wishing to begin regular weekly coaching must first complete an Initial Consultation.

Following the consultation, regular students will receive:

  • a fixed weekly lesson time;

  • a Tuition Agreement;

  • subscription payment details.

Regular tuition is offered at a reduced rate in exchange for commitment to a reserved weekly lesson slot. Payments are collected weekly through the agreed payment method. Regular tuition consists of one lesson per week (four lessons per month). A one-month written notice is required to cancel regular tuition.

3. Attendance & Rescheduling Policy

Regular students may reschedule up to two lessons when:

  • at least 24 hours’ notice is provided;

  • the reason is illness.

Any rescheduled lesson must be completed at a mutually agreed time, subject to availability.

Lessons missed due to holidays, travel, birthdays, social events, work commitments, appointments or other personal arrangements are not eligible for rescheduling or refunds.

The reduced regular tuition price reflects the reservation of a dedicated weekly time slot. Students are therefore expected to organise their schedules accordingly.

4. Exceptional Circumstances

If a serious illness or significant unforeseen circumstance prevents you from attending lessons for an extended period, please contact me as soon as possible.

Each situation will be considered individually, and an appropriate solution may be discussed where possible.

5. Online Lessons

Lessons are primarily delivered online.

Students are responsible for ensuring they have:

  • a stable internet connection;

  • suitable equipment;

  • a working microphone and camera;

  • an appropriate environment for the session.

If a lesson cannot be completed due to technical problems on the student’s side, the lesson will be considered delivered and no refund or replacement lesson will be provided.

If technical issues occur on the teacher’s side, an alternative arrangement will be made.

6. In-Person & Hybrid Sessions

Some sessions may be available in person depending on location and availability.

The exact location will be confirmed individually by email before booking.

Private teaching locations will not be publicly displayed and will only be shared with confirmed clients when necessary.

Students attending in-person sessions agree to respect the professional and private nature of the teaching environment.

7. Punctuality

Students are expected to arrive on time.

If a student arrives late, the lesson will still finish at the originally scheduled time to avoid affecting other appointments.

8. Teacher Cancellations

If a lesson needs to be cancelled by the teacher, an alternative appointment will be arranged at no additional cost.

9. Recording Policy

Lessons may not be audio recorded, video recorded, photographed or otherwise reproduced without prior written permission.

Unauthorised recording, copying or sharing of lesson content is strictly prohibited.

10. Confidentiality

All information shared during lessons and consultations is treated as confidential.

This includes vocal assessments, audition preparation, artistic goals, career discussions and personal information shared during coaching.

Information will not be shared with third parties unless required by law or with explicit permission.

11. Teaching Materials & Intellectual Property

All exercises, documents, recordings, practice plans and educational materials provided during lessons remain the intellectual property of the teacher unless stated otherwise.

Materials are provided exclusively for personal use and may not be copied, distributed, published, shared or sold without prior written permission.

12. Students Under 18

Students under the age of 18 are welcome.

Written consent from a parent or legal guardian is required before lessons begin.

The completed consent form must be provided by email before the first session.

13. Health & Vocal Wellbeing

Voice coaching is an educational service and does not replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Students experiencing persistent vocal pain, discomfort, loss of voice or other health concerns should seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional.

Students are responsible for informing the teacher of any condition or injury that may affect participation.

14. Practice & Student Commitment

Vocal development requires consistent attendance, independent practice and active participation.

While lessons are personalised to individual goals, specific outcomes such as audition results, employment opportunities or professional success cannot be guaranteed.

Progress depends on the student’s commitment and consistency.

15. Professional Conduct

Lessons are conducted in a respectful and professional environment.

The teacher reserves the right to refuse bookings or terminate tuition in cases including:

  • repeated breaches of these Terms;

  • non-payment;

  • inappropriate, disrespectful or abusive behaviour;

  • conduct that prevents a safe learning environment.

16. Changes to Policies & Fees

These Studio Policies & Terms may be updated from time to time.

Lesson fees and subscription prices may also change.

Students will receive reasonable notice before significant changes take effect.

Continued participation after updates means acceptance of the revised Terms.
